PHYSICAL THERAPIST & OWNER
Maggie is the owner of Motion and a dedicated physical therapist with a passion for developing a diverse skill set, knowing the full range of treatment options and having an in-depth knowledge of emerging techniques with manual therapy and exercise. She is an educator for post doctoral residents and the doctoral program at the University of Minnesota, volunteers with US Ski Team, preferred to professional athletes, published author and researcher in two textbooks, and the Twin Cities’ premier spinal physical therapy specialist.
Maggie earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in exercise science, with an emphasis on pre-professional physical therapy. She went on to attend the University of Colorado-Denver, and received her doctorate in physical therapy with extra training in manual therapy. Since, Maggie has obtained her orthopedic certified specialist designation.
Lastly, Maggie continued to improve expertise in the field by excelling in one of the highest designations of a post-doctoral fellowship through the American Academy of Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT), in specific, Evidence in Motion. With this, it allows a close involvement in research, and progression of our field. Maggie has certifications in professional bike fitting and dry needling to optimize performance and reduce pain in any individual. Complimenting manual therapy, Maggie uses exercise and movement to restore and return you back to your optimal self!
Maggie enjoys traveling, staying active with hiking, skiing & snowboarding, volleyball, biking, yoga and running.
